Navigating Omaha.com

Welcome to Omaha.com, the Midlands' most complete online resource and home of the Omaha World-Herald Online Edition. Here are some tips for getting the most out of this site:

To the right is Omaha.com's portal page. From here, you can navigate anywhere on Omaha.com by following the links. Or, use our Site Map/Search function (at the top of the page) to find what you're looking for.

If you are using America Online (AOL) to browse the Web, you may need to change your browser's default settings to view images and graphics properly. Click here to learn how to do that.

Navigation to all major sections of Omaha.com is present on every page. Wherever you may be on Omaha.com, the Omaha World-Herald Online Edition navigation is recognizable by its blue background. Omaha.com's many other features are recognizable by the tan or yellow background.

Across the top, in the curved tan area, is navigation to key areas and services on the site. You can go directly back to the portal page, check the site map, search, contact Omaha.com staff and find this Help/Info section again from this navigation bar.

Directly below the top navigation, you will find a blue bar on the right with navigation to the Omaha World-Herald Online Edition. Clicking on any of these section names will take you to the latest news and features in that section. Once you are in an Online Edition section, further navigation links below the blue bar will take you to the content organized within that section. A red arrow indicates where you are within each section. You will find the navigation to other areas of Omaha.com has moved below the Online Edition navigation on the left.

Back on the portal page, the navigation to the rest of Omaha.com's features extends down the left side of your screen. Here, you will find such services as Careers and Classifieds, shopping opportunities and more information on key topics such as investing and recreation. When you follow a link to an Omaha.com feature or service, you will notice that The World-Herald Online Edition navigation moves below the Omaha.com navigation on the left.

Following links and clicking on advertisements on Omaha.com will either open a new browser window or take you to a site outside of Omaha.com. If a new browser window opens, you can return to Omaha.com by closing the new window. If you leave Omaha.com to visit another site, you can click your browser's Back button to return to Omaha.com.

If you have questions that aren't answered here or in the other pages of this section, Omaha.com's friendly staff will be happy to help you. You can contact us here, call (402) 444-1045, or send us mail the old-fashioned way at:

A World Herald Company
1334 Dodge Street
Omaha, NE 68102
(402) 444-1000
Or (402) 444-1045 if online advertising
