Creighton has sold more than 5,000 tickets in two days for Thursday's 7:05 p.m. National Invitation Tournament game against Akron at Qwest Center Omaha.

Sales on the first two days were limited to season ticket holders. Sales to the public will begin today at 9 a.m. at the ticket office at Morrison Stadium and through Ticketmaster.

The Bluejays have been practicing for five days after taking a six-day break following their quarterfinal loss to Bradley in the Missouri Valley Conference tournament.

"Coach has been really getting after us, and guys are really flying around," Creighton forward Jimmy Motz said. "The first three days were the most physical coming back from break that I've been a part of in five years here."

-Steven Pivovar
