Cyclones and Monarchs helps reshuffle WI track chart A common formula in competing for state track titles is to have one star athlete and another group of three or four athletes who can also score well. The Harlan Community and Denison-Schleswig girls didn't abide by that formula this spring. They put the team in track team.
Griswold's the one in 1-A  Surrounded by hugs and tears after their team title-clinching victory, junior Lucas Mosier handed coach Gary Bergstrom a small bottle covered in athletic tape. "It worked, Coach," Mosier said. "We're never going anywhere without it," Bergstrom replied. The Griswold boys, and the lucky charm they created before their championship at the Audubon co-ed meet, won their first Class 1-A state track championship Saturday at Drake Stadium.
