As Emmys approach, 'The View' is fatalistic

After eight Daytime Emmy nominations for best talk show hosts and eight losses, they're so confident of another defeat that the show is launching a "Watch the Ladies Lose" contest. Three winning viewers will be flown to Hollywood to watch the ceremony.




Bookish band set to play Ralston library

Omaha may have landed former gangster rapper Ice-T to reopen the Charles B. Washington branch library Saturday, but the Baright Public Library in Ralston has conjured up something more magical. Harry and the Potters will bring their Potter-themed tunes to the Ralston library Friday night to unveil its new teen space, which is designed to draw more high-school-aged library patrons.
