WORLD-HERALD QUICK CASH CLASSIFIED PROMOTION-OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY:
Open only to residents of the United States, except Florida, New York,
Rhode Island, Washington and Puerto Rico, who are 18 years of age or older
as of June 8, 2003 and satisfy all eligibility requirements and these
official rules. Employees of Omaha World-Herald Company, its subsidiaries
and members of their immediate families (spouse, parents, children and
their spouses) are not eligible.
HOW TO ENTER:
A. AUTOMATIC ENTRY: From June 8 through August 2, 2003, purchase a minimum
three (3) day, three (3) line Quick Cash Classified ad or Private Party
ad and for each day such ad runs in the Omaha World-Herald newspaper,
a single entry with your name, address and phone number will be included
in a daily drawing for $100.00 and a grand prize drawing for $1,000.00.
Quick Cash Classified ads are advertised in the Omaha World-Herald newspaper
as the "$7,500 or Less Special." Quick Cash Classified ads must
be private party ads only, and must only advertise sales of $7,500 or
less. Quick Cash Classified ads, and this promotion, exclude the following
ads: ads for pets, real estate, employment, auction and farm services
and commercial accounts. The Omaha World-Herald in its discretion reserves
the right to determine whether any classified ad constitutes a Quick Cash
Classified or private party classified ad for purposes of this promotion.
B. ALTERNATIVE METHOD OF ENTRY: Enter by mailing your name, complete address,
phone number, date of birth, and date of mailing or delivery of your entry,
all legibly handwritten on a 3" x 5" piece of paper enclosed
in an envelope mailed or delivered to Omaha World-Herald, Attn: Advertising,
World-Herald Square, 1334 Dodge St., Omaha, NE 68102, Attn: Dept. Adv.
RG. Only one entry may be submitted per day.
C. All Entry Forms, regardless of method of entry, must be received at
such office by no later than 5:00 p.m. the day of each
drawing to be eligible for this contest. Mailed entries will be included
in the following days drawing.
D. Entries that are incomplete, illegible or damaged are void and will
not be accepted. No mass-produced copies or mechanically reproduced entries
will be accepted. Entries generated by a script, macro or other automated
means will be disqualified. Sponsor is not responsible for misdirected,
lost, late, damaged or postage due entries. All entries become the property
of the sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.
SELECTION OF WINNER
AND PRIZE:
The prizes awarded will consist of one (1) daily prize of $100.00 for
each of the fifty-six (56) days of the promotion (i.e. June 8, 2003 through
August 2, 2003), and one (1) grand prize of $1000.00 at the end of the
promotion. Winners will be notified promptly after each drawing. All winner's
names will be posted (in a form and format and for such duration as determined
by the sponsor)on both the Quick Cash Page on Omaha.com and daily in the
Omaha World-Herald newspaper. Weekends winners will be drawn on Monday
and posted the following day. Entry in the promotion or acceptance of
any prize constitutes permission to publish the winner's name. All taxes
and all other expenses or liabilities associated with the acceptance and/or
use of any prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
From June 8, 2003
through August 2, 2003, a separate random drawing for a $100 cash prize
shall be held for each day of the promotion (i.e. from June 8 through
August 2, 2003) and each such drawing shall consist of all entries for
Quick Cash Classified and private party classified ads which appears on
the designated day in the Omaha World-Herald newspaper, and all handwritten
entries received on the designated day. The grand prize drawing of $1,000
shall consist of all entries received for the entire promotion period.
In the event a person wins a daily cash prize drawing of $100, that person
is not eligible to win any other daily cash prize drawing but is eligible
to win the grand prize drawing.
DISCLAIMER:
Winners assume all liability for any injury or damages caused or claimed
to be caused by participation in the promotion and/or the acceptance and/or
use of any prize. Winners hereby release the Omaha World-Herald and each
of their respective officers, directors and employees, from any such liability.
Entry or acceptance of any prize constitutes permission to use or publish
winners' names for purposes of advertising promotion and publicity without
additional compensation, and the Omaha World-Herald is released from all
liability relating to use or publishing of winners' names in any manner.
MISCELLANEOUS:
Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received for
each day. This contest is sponsored by the Omaha World-Herald. Sponsor
reserves the right to withdraw or cancel this promotion at any time for
any reason and award the prize from among the eligible entries received
prior to the date of the withdrawal or cancellation. Entrants agree to
abide by these Official Rules and by the decisions of the judges, whose
decisions are final. Failure to comply with these rules may result in
disqualification from this promotion. Sponsor reserves the right to permanently
disqualify from this promotion any person it believes has violated these
rules.
WINNERS LIST:
For a list of the winners, please send a self-addressed stamped envelope
to the Omaha World-Herald, Attn: Advertising, World-Herald Square, 1334
Dodge St., Omaha, NE 68102, Attn: Dept. RG. Requests must be received
by August 7, 2003. Winners will be listed on www.omaha.com , on the Quick
Cash page from June 8, 2003 until August 4, 2003.
